Ma Su Myat Hla is an accomplished professional with broad experience in the fields of corporate communications, marketing, and business management. As Corporate Secretary, Ma Su Myat Hla is responsible for corporate affairs and ensuring IGE and its directors maintain good corporate governance and follow through on their mission to all stakeholders. She is also in charge of organizing board meetings and committees, maintaining effective records and administration, and handling all related communication and correspondences. Ma Su Myat Hla has worked with IGE Group since 2010 in a variety of roles principally drawing on her expertise in corporate communication, public relations, and organizational management. At the beginning of her employment with IGE Group, Ma Su Myat Hla led the group-wide Government Affairs and Public Relations Department, which included liaising with JV partners, local and international media outlets, and government offices. From 2011 to 2013 Ma Su Myat Hla took on the role of CEO of IGE Group’s weekly business journal, Trade Times. From 2013 to 2016 Ma Su Myat Hla was the Head of the Executive Office, where she was responsible for all corporate affairs as well as all organizational and governance matters for IGE Group and the Board of Directors.

Ma Su Myat Hla began her career as a journalist at the Myanmar Consolidated Media Group, which publishes the prestigious Myanmar Times. During her time as a newspaper writer, Ma Su Myat Hla was trained by experienced Australian journalists and penned numerous English and Myanmar language articles. She also acquired additional training through participation in an international internship program with Noosa News on Australia’s Sunshine Coast. Placing her skills and talents to broader use, Ma Su Myat Hla accepted the role of Assistant Sales and Marketing Manager for the acclaimed Sedona Hotel, Yangon, and later at Air Bagan Ltd.

Ma Su Myat Hla holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Yangon as well as a Third Level Group Diploma in Principals of Management and Accounting from the London Chamber of Commerce & Industry. She also earned a Certificate in Advanced English from the University of Cambridge.
